Tshwaraganang Clinic Takes Health to the People

Tshwaraganang Clinic hosted a “Health is Wealth” campaign on 17 April 2025. The purpose of the event was to promote and introduce a healthy lifestyle in our community. Many people are not living healthy lifestyles, and through this campaign, community members learned why it is important to start living healthy lives and staying fit.

The campaign started at Tshwaraganang Clinic with a 5-kilometre fun walk from the clinic to Oulukasi (Carwash) and back to the clinic. This was followed by a nutritional talk by our local dietitian, Annamie Weich, who shared insightful information about healthy eating and living a healthy lifestyle. Annamie shared that, “A healthy lifestyle doesn’t have to be expensive, but it is important to understand why you are eating and what you are eating.”

Councillor Tebang also shared, “It is important for community members to practise healthy living. Now that we have launched the Pulse Tribe Fitness Club, it is important for the community to join and start the journey towards a healthier lifestyle.”

Community members also had the opportunity to engage with health professionals, ask questions, and learn practical ways to improve their daily habits. The event created a supportive space where people could share experiences, encourage one another, and take the first steps towards healthier living. Top of Form

The activities continued with the Pulse Tribe Fitness Club leading an aerobics session, encouraging community members to join them and take part in regular fitness activities. The session brought energy and excitement, showing that staying active can be fun and something everyone in the community can enjoy together. Bakang Bojang shared that, “At Pulse Tribe Fitness Club, we started because we want to promote healthy living within the community and show that everyone can take part, no matter their age or fitness level. Our goal is to create a supportive space where people can come together, stay active, and motivate each other to live healthier lives.”

The campaign ended on a positive note, with community members feeling encouraged and motivated to make healthier choices in their daily lives. Initiatives like this remind us that small changes, when done together, can lead to a healthier and stronger community.
